Visual Arts

Alice Hoskins (Antigonish) is an accomplished visual artist. In addition to her extensive work in art education, Alice travels frequently to Japan. She is an experienced watercolour painter and her recent work with the ArtsSmarts program incorporated painting skills with the rich cultural tradition of Japanese watercolour art

Ashley Ward (Inverness) is a versatile visual artist who works in variety of media, including murals, outdoor sculpture and jeweller. She has experience as a camp counselor for children and youth and has worked in India and St. Lucia, enabling her to incorporate art techniques from these regions into her art.

Carl Zimmerman (Orangedale) has worked at several educational levels. By developing basic drawing and painting skills he helps students to realize the inter-connectedness of art and to relate to it in ways that are real and relevant to them.
